Once, there was a Monk that achieved such spiritual attainment that all the animals of the forest would come to him.

Deer would bow their heads.
Birds landed upon his shoulders, singing joyously.
Bears would sit, Buddha-like, and listen to his stories.

Then after a time this Monk, deep in meditation, reached true enlightenment, and the animals of the forest came to him no more.
